Organised in Europe with a Swiss attention to detail
The Ivers-Lee Group works under the umbrella of ILS Holding AG, Burgdorf/Switzerland, along with the companies Ivers-Lee AG and Ivers-Lee CSM GmbH. The company’s headquarters are located in Burgdorf, as is the Group Management structure for the Ivers-Lee companies. Centralised functions, such as company strategy, marketing, finance, accountancy and IT, are all run from Burgdorf. The company is 100 % family-owned and is not quoted on the stock market.
For over 75 years, the Ivers-Lee Group has built a reputation as a reliable, quality-conscious, highly flexible packaging specialist and contract manufacturer (CMO). Ivers-Lee packs a variety of brand-name products for small, medium-sized and multinational companies in accordance with the rules of good manufacturing practice (cGMP) at its authorized production site in Switzerland. Through its specialist sister affiliate company IL-CSM Clinical Supplies Management GmbH in Lörrach, Germany, the Group has a site in the EU for logistical matters (import and market approvals). In addition, this unit has extensive experience in the field of clinical samples manufacturing.

Alvotech acquires Ivers-Lee group
We would like to inform you on an important step in the development of Ivers-Lee.
Our longtime partner Alvotech will completely take over the Ivers-Lee group with effect of 1. January 2025. This decision was taken very diligently and is a very important step for the future of our company.
Our target is approved
Our target was approved by SBTi using a streamlined target validation route exclusive to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Ivers-Lee AG commits to reduce scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions 42% by 2030 from a 2023 base year, and to measure and reduce its scope 3 emissions.
An eventful company history
The roots of Ivers-Lee lie in the USA. Ivers-Lee was founded in Newark, N.J., in 1919 and developed the SANITAPE packing product, a wrap made of wax-coated paper. Peter Schüpbach founded Ivers-Lee AG Burgdorf in 1947 when it became clear that the potential for these packages existed in Europe too. In the challenging economic era following World War II, it took great courage and faith to start up a company in the packaging sector.
