Technology.

For over 75 years, the Ivers-Lee  Group has established itself as a trusted partner in bringing new  technologies to market. The Ivers-Lee Group is further positioned to serve a variety of specific market requirements in serialisation and aggregation. We are especially proud of our highly motivated and experienced team, which makes all the difference.

Blister packs

Well packaged means well protected

We pack products such as capsules, tablets, dragées, ampoules, vials and injections in the appropriate blister shape on your behalf. In addition to monofilling, we also offer mixed blister packs, where different products can be manufactured in a single blister. Blister packs are separated into:

Push-through PVC packaging
We manufacture push-through PVC (PVC, PVC/PVdC, Triplex, PVC/Aclar) blister packaging

Push-through Alu/Alu packaging
The production of push-through Alu/Alu packaging by a cold-forming process presents specific technical requirements. The specific properties of push-through Alu/Alu packaging make it difficult to handle, and considerable experience is required. We can expertly manufacture these products, from the primary packaging stage to sales and dispatch units. Technologies such as child safety, data matrix coding and serialisation are already well-established at our plants. Ongoing projects continuously drive these developments forward in the market.

Filling bottles and cans

Pharmaceutical products are still widely packaged in plastic or glass bottles due to their excellent barrier properties. Ivers-Lee offers you a complete, high-quality filling process for solid dosage forms such as tablets, capsules and coated tablets.

Depending on the specific characteristics of the filling product and special packaging requirements, a membrane induction seal can be applied as first-opening protection, and a dry/wadded portion can be added.

Stick packs

The ideal solution for paediatric applications

Thanks to its user-friendliness, cost-effectiveness, and ease of use, the stick pack meets basic convenience requirements.

The practically complete emptying of residues and suitability for direct ingestion make this packaging popular with consumers.

The Ivers-Lee Group has over 20 years of experience with this packaging system. There are five stick pack lines. The focus is on the low dosage range of granules/mini-tablets and powders.

  • The standard format is 23 mm/30 mm wide and up to 125 mm long

  • The focus is on aluminium-based laminates (incl. moisture-absorbing material)

  • Production rooms with humidity regulation < 20 % rH

  • Various opening systems (incl. child safety features)

  • Leading weighing technology for process control

Ivers-Lee offers you the entire process, including primary and secondary packaging, as a complete service.

Activ-Blister™
Activ material

European partner of Aptar CSP for the Activ-Blister™ solution

Ivers-Lee is the European partner of Aptar CSP Technologies for the Activ-Blister™ solution. The Ivers-Lee Group has a blister system to produce this innovative blister solution on a commercial scale. The Activ-Blister™ solution enables control of both water vapor and oxygen content within each cavity.

  • The blister card format can be reduced by 40–60 % with plastic-based blister systems.

  • The tablets are visible compared to the Alu/Alu blister.

  • Residual moisture in the product or from the manufacturing process can be absorbed.

  • Oxygen and other reagents can be bound.

Device assembly

The right equipment is essential

The Ivers-Lee Group has over 10 years of experience in the field of pen and autoinjector assembly. Our equipment is designed for small and large batch sizes. Assembly is carried out using systems from Harro Höfliger. All processes are force-displacement monitored.

Sustainability and small volumes

The Ivers-Lee Group has a flexible Dividella NTX cartoner for packaging a wide range of parenteral products. The advantage of mono-material packaging (carton) is its sustainability and smaller volume compared to conventional blister systems. The system can be used very widely thanks to the manual feed.

Serialisation & aggregation

Good networking is essential

The Ivers-Lee Group relies on a Swiss solution from Hicof for counterfeit protection and traceability (track and trace). Hicof pioneered cloud-based databases, which dispense with the traditional approach of hierarchy-based databases (levels 1 to 5). The basic validated system makes networking with our customers’ various IT systems easy. The systems integrated into the packaging lines are equipped with the latest technology and fulfil the highest print quality requirements (Russia Crypto Code).
